Industrial climbers also installed work platform nets in this spectacular building, for the trades that subsequently worked on it. Beneath the 6th storey of the media bridge, at a height of 26m, the work platform nets were installed between the two building towers, as well as on the protruding arms of the building over a length of 90m, in order that the floor could be constructed.

As specialists for installation work in places difficult to access, our experienced installers inspected the glass façade and the roof cladding and repaired damages in the areas where they discovered undesired changes.

In order to spread the load evenly across the rope supporting structure, initially all the construction material was placed in storage nets in the inner ring of the roof. Following this, the 112 panels were installed successively using the five work platform nets, which were constantly moved in the installation direction. Subsequently, 3.3 km of joints were closed using hot air sealing.

We offer specialized services. In this case we were commissioned with the reinstallation of a movable dome light on the roof of a villa. The existing frame construction was reworked and replaced, the ETFE-cushion was readjusted and the 5 x 5m dome light was installed again.

In order to refurbish the glass roof of an atrium in an administration building, industrial climbers from the Membranteam installed a work platform net as a temporary assembly level. As it was only possible to access the building through doors sized 2,20 m by 1,40 m, we worked with the very slender special machine, "Spider", which is able to pass through any standard doorway. In order to install the working platform nets, a very innovative assembly concept was needed, as there were none of the “usual” anchor opportunities.

In order to create secure installation conditions for the other trades, our work platform nets were installed on the Air Rail Center building and were disassembled, moved on the horizontal and then reinstalled, depending on the building phase.

In order to collect tiles that were becoming detached from the high-rise building façade, industrial climbers from the Membranteam installed permanent protective and collective nets on all four sides of the building for all 10 storeys.

In this project, the focus was less on the size and more on the optically striking supporting structure. In order to carry out the complete installation, we first set up a supporting construction made of steel, in the design of an inverted umbrella, on the concrete base, and then stretched the PTFE-membrane over it.
